Why Blog?

why you should blog

Everyone is talking about it—blogging. To you, it seems like such a time-suck. After all, you’re busy running your business; you don’t have time to sit down and write something. And what do you even have to talk about?

The fact is, a blog is a vital part of your business’s online presence. Not only does it help to drive traffic to your website, but it provides valuable information to your customers and prospects. Through a blog, your audience learns about you and your business, helping you to build trust that converts to sales.

A blog doesn’t have to be a long article you publish every day to be effective. Many businesses today offer video blogs or short, 200-word pieces on their websites.

Fresh content gets noticed by search engines, so just the act of clicking “publish” can help move your business forward.

And blogs do not have to be a huge time-suck for you. Don’t have time to write? Don’t like to write? There are professional writers out there, ready and waiting to help move your blog content forward (raising hand). Pro bloggers have systems in place to help plan your editorial calendar and make the content development process as easy as possible for you—even if you’re in a business where you create personal blogs that spotlight fitness or nutritional results. Yep, bloggers can write your personal blog for you (and no one will be the wiser!).

If you’re not blogging already, what’s the hold-up? According to Hubspot, customers will manage 85 percent of their relationships without talking to a human by 2020. That means customers will rely on your blog, website and social media to gather information about you and your company. And if you’re looking for new customers, Hubspot also reports that

business to business organizations that have a blog enjoy 67 percent more leads than those who do not.

Could you use a 67 percent growth in your business? Who couldn’t, right? With a number of user-friendly platforms out there, and Creative Bloq has the low-down on its top 10.

This month, we will focus on all things blogging. Learn more on our social media platforms—we’ll be posting often!
